How much should a oiler be set to drop oil onto the piston of a hit & miss engine? Im new to these things and I don't know. I guess it would be better to have too much then not enough. I heard some where that it should be one drop, per minute, per horse power. Sound good??? My new engine is a 1 1/2hp Economy. Thanks

Jason,
Wish we were closer as I have several that I am interested in finding a home for.

Hi Jason, 4 to 6 drops per minute, and I usually let them oil the skirt for a minute or so before they are lit. And be careful, these engines can be highly addictive!
