Maytag help needed

I have a manual that shows how to test a condenser and magneto on my 72-D twin with a Eisemann mag. My questions are:
1. Hot-Shot battery. I assume this is a modern 6 or 12 volt battery.
2. Stationary breaker arm. Is this the arm that moves the points ?
3. Armature plate. Is this the round plate that holds the coil, points and condenser ?
4. Rocker arm. ?
The book I have also shows a picture of the motor with the flywheel removed and identifies all the parts with a maytag part number, but not much of a description as to what they are called.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Tom/Idaho

Thanks you for your assistance. The test worked great. I have a good spark, now if I could only get that ring on the shaft by the sprocket.
Must be an easier way.

1. Hot-Shot battery. These are something like a large lantern battery, not the same battery that you would use in a car or tractor. For testing the Maytag ignition, a good lantern battery will work okay.

2. Stationary breaker arm. What they are referring to is the points, themselves. Think of the points as two arms. One arm moves, one doesn't. The arm which DOES NOT move is the stationary arm.

3. Yes.

4. Rocker arm would be referring to the arm of the points which DOES move. Once again, think of the points as two arms. One arm moves, one arm doesn't.

Let me know how it goes. I'll try to check back tomorrow night.
