Since I've switched to Internet Explorer 6.0 (Big mistake), I've noticed a lot more pop up adds. I'm assuming it's 6.0 but I could be mistaken. Has anybody found a free and easy ways to eliminate this nusisance. Talk about telemarketing, this is worse.

Thanks..
Bill

Bill, punch the link below to find the POW! popup killer. It's a small download(about 250k), it's FREE, it has no SPYWARE built into it, and it works great! Full instructions are included. I use it at home and at work. You start the program before you connect to the Internet.

You can go to Download.com and find some free ones in the browser tools section. Mines called Popupkiller. You choose the ones to get rid of and put them in your "library". They always get zapped after that with a gunshot sound. Makes you feel like you're getting even!

Hi Bill, I used the popupstopper for awhile. It works fine. You have to get used to it. If I remember right, you had to hold down on the shift or Ctrl key in order to follow a link when you were already on a site. That was a minor proplem that you get used to quickly. I quit using it; I'm not sure why.

Bill, I've forgotten the address, but there is a free download which will completely stop those annoying pop-ups. I belives it's popupstopper.com. Search for that or something similar. I'll scrounge around in my computer's innards and see if I can find the right address.
