Hi,
I'm seeing a lot of these type drill presses on ebay. They claim to be 3/4 HP. Speeds from 210 rpm to 3840 rpm. Does any one know how well the head and spindles are made? Every thing sounds good but if it's sloopy work like I've seen some of the made in Chine, it won't last long.
Thanks,
Jr

I've got one that I use for 'rough' shop work. It's holding up remarkably well. But you put down your money and take your chances with these non-branded imports.

I think there is some decent Chinese-built stuff out there, but it's swimming in a sea of cheap, disposable junk.

If I was shopping today, I'd try to find a reseller who wants to stay in business, like Grizzly. Let them weed out the bad stuff for you.

Just my 2 cts.
