If you have a large hub coming through the wheel bolted to the hub, and it should have 8 bolts on the wheel, you will have to remove the wheel, Remove the bolts from the center holding the axle flange to the hub. You will have to take a screw driver and hammer and pry aside the locking tabs outward toward the hub, and unscrew the nut that is around the axle housing tube, remove the ring with the locking tabs, and remove another nut around the axle housing. Then if the brake shoes are backed off you should be able to slide the hub and brake drum off the axle housing, and be sure to catch the outer bearing so it doesn't fall in the dirt, and be careful of the seal on the inside of the hub. You may want to buy the axle nut wrench to unscrew the nuts that hold the hub on, I bought one from Advance Autoparts, but any part store should have one. I'm quite familiar with this one right now because I just had 3 complete rear ends on my bench, the one ton single wheel from under my truck, a one ton duals I had setting around, and a 3/4 ton. I had part of the spider come out through my housing, and I was comparing the 3 and saw how similar they were, the brakes being the greatest difference, amd spacing of brackets next, I had to grind some off and reweld them in different positions, and swap brakes. But you should get a book for the truck. Ebay has factory shop manuals, I got all of them for my 1975 GMC.
