Hi 620JD,

Acet/Oxy= 5900*F

Propane/Oxy= 4580*F

Propaylene/Oxy= 5900*F

Mapp/Oxy=5300*F

I've used Mapp/Air with my Benzomatic torch that works well for some applications but not welding.

Propane temps, adequate for soldering
Mapp temps, hot enough for light brazing.

Requires combo torch or orifice change, mjor companies make em both ways, offer orifice kit as accessory.(Not hard just pop out old,pop in new,5 min job in most cases.)

Mapp considerably more expensive in most markets.

Mapp gas burns hotter than propane... I also wouldn't recommend burning mapp gas with a propane torch... gets a little hot to hold
