thanks for the info. size is the same as I,m planning. Did you insulate under the floor? We don't see many 50deg. days Nov to March and usually have a couple of weeks of nites in the minus 20 range. One nice thing is that we have natural gas on the farmstead.

Same here as to the gas on the farm. That's one reason for building it. Yes we insulated under the floor,but just 1" around the outside and 1/2" under the rest. I only have 1" insulation on the walls and ceiling, this heat is really efficient. More might be better if you get alot of wind and long cold snaps. We do get some really cold spell here to and the furnace works harder then but mostly it has no trouble with keeping the shop good and warm.
