You need an old 6303 bearing, they have 11/32" balls. Also if you can find an 5303, that is a double row ball bearing and you'll have 14 of them

Say, have you checked the 3-5 h.p. Briggs recoil starter ball bearings? There are about 5 inside of the unit. just pry off the top cover of the starter unit, and, there they are! fish them out with a magnetic screwdriver, check them, if not right size, put them back in, put cover back on, and try something else! Spray paint cans used to have steel balls in them. When my son was little 20 years ago he had me cut the tops off so he could get them.

If You wish to order steele ball bearings or any type of ball bearing.
If Boca does not have it. They do not make it.

You need four and they just sale them in bags of 100. So that will give you 96 good "bullets" for your sling shot.. LOL

Larry, plastic or nylon balls would work. Check a craft shop for these. Steel balls, we used to make Large ratchet type clutchs, we got the 5/16 balls from a local bearing outfit, but you had to have a quantity. As suggested before, pick up some old bearings, you can remove a seal and get a general idea of the size balls inside before you take the bearing apart. Been a long time, I no longer have books, but seems that a bearing book has the ball specs according to the bearing number, that might help.

Larry, why not visit your local auto wrecker? If you don't find a junked truck of the right year, look for any Ford with that type of ash tray; a lot of the older cars had them and I would "assume" the balls would be the same?

Try an electric motor repair facility, as they often have used ball bearings they take out of motors when rewinding and when they reassemble it they use new ones.
