6V battery check

I am sure I have seen this but cannot remember the awnser. What voltage should you read from a charged 6V battery.

Each cell full charge in 2.2 volts ie 6v=3 cell
=6.6 volts to check induce a load if voltage returns to a little above 6 its ok
