Snap-On 3/4" drive 3 piece torque wrench non-micormeter has a small knob to dial setting with a flip lever style lock. My ? is can this wrench be used on left hand threads? I have owned the wrench for @14 years but 3 months after I bought it I quit working on big motors and never had L. hand threads to deal with. Also if anybody remembers the correct torque for spool and nut bud wheels on class 8 truck would appreciate the info. Thanks in advance. Fred

Fred,
I never saw a standard torque wrench that did not work in both directions. There are a few out there for specialized applications, but yours sounds like a standard dial wrench. Chuck it up in a vise and try to pull it both ways and watch the dial. If it moves in both directions, then you're set. Sorry, I can't help you with the Budd wheel deal. Good Luck and God Bless, Tommy

If its what I think it is, its not a dial type, uses a straight line scale with a window and needle to set the torque, sorta a clicker type. Some work LH some not. Few are as accurate LH as they are RH.

I'd check with snap-on and see if they know or can find out.

You're right on, Charles. Guess I'll have to call Snap On. They lost their rep. here in the sticks @ 3yrs ago and haven't replaced him since. Have to send my warranty stuff to my cousin who has a bud that works in the city and hope they don't get lost in the process. Thanks everybody for the input. Fred
