I have inherited a headache from a person who should NEVER be allowed to pick up a wrench! The tractor was once converted to 12V, and is pos grounded. It has a mid seventies Delco alternator w/ internal regulator, and a 12V coil. Guy before put battery in backwards while trying to "help" and cooked everything. Everything has been rewired, except the alternator, which is my problem. Lead goes from the big B terminal of the alternator, to one of the spade terminals on the side of the alternator [marked 1 and 2], but to which one? The other spade terminal will then go to the coil and on to the ammeter. No one noted just how the alternator was wired when the burned wiring was removed, now I need HELP!

Hi Mike, The enclosed link to Farmall tractor wiring is provided by Bob Melville, for really nice wiring diagrams. BobM talks over on the Farmall board and really is a big help. Take a look and see if this helps you , then repost on the Framall board for aditional help.
