Water Tank Pressure

I have a waterloged pressure tank and would like to know the correct pressure to repressurize it. I think it is 2 # above or below cut in or cut out pressure but I don"t remember which.

You want the tank precharge set about 2 psi below pump cut-in pressure. The link is one of many sites that has info on water pressure/volume tanks.

Drain the tank completely, then pressurize to 2 psi below the cut-in pressure.

If you over-pressurize the tank, it will run out of water before the pump kicks in. Your wife will be sure to bring this to your attention, if you don't notice it yourself.
