Anyone know a good way to remove a stripped wheel lug nut. It would only spin around when I tried to remove it. I have been trying to cut it off with hammer and chisel and it's pretty buggered up. It's on the front of a Jeep Cherokee.

Drill the stud out. They are easy to replace instead of eyes, fingers, blood etc. It isn't any good anyway.

In many cases if you pull out on the nut,via the rim, it will grab on the threads and come off. An impact wrench works good.

I'm with jmixigo on this.Burn it out.I've done it many times. With nice alloy rims, use several layers of duct tape around hole to prevent clear-coat burn. ~brad

Die grinder with a ziz wheel, or rock, or burr... most anything including a cold chisel and BFH. You're gonna have to replace the stud by now anyway.

on my '92 jeep cherokee I used a Stihl cut-off saw. a grinder should do it if you're near electricity

Sounds like you need a "nut splitter". Carquest, Autozone, O'Reillys should all carry them. If'n they don't, I'm sure NAPA does.
