While back there were a lot of good posts about spiders. Will try the hedge hog one. Also we use mouse sticky traps at garage door corners an that way you can see what kind you have around your home as they get caught.

Someone told my Mom that hedgeapples would keep spiders out. Our experience was the only way they had an effect on the spiders was if you hit the spider with it.

I heard about the hedgeapples a couple years ago and decided to give it a try. Had a hedge tree behind the barn and went back to gather a few. In the tree, within a few feet of hedgeapples was a spider web...

My BIL in "FloraDuh" swears that this is the best stuff made - actually, my sister told me about it first. I"m gonna order some - "critters" are moving in for the Winter! It was 29º here this morning. Sounds like one dose every 6 months or so does it - and they"ve got some SERIOUS bugs in Fla!

I put about 15 spider sticky traps around the baseboards and in closets to catch brown recluse spiders. The bug population explodes in June and the fiddleback population explodes shortly thereafter.

After a few months the sticky traps had caught 3 or 4 crickets but nary a spider.

Oh yeah...the sticky traps also caught two cats...one on top of the tail and one underneath the tail...I didn"t realize a cat could spin at 300 rpm.
