am trying to find a reasonable air compressor for home farm shop. tired of single cylinder craftsman. was looking thru napa book and looked at thier compressors. would like to know if there are any horror stories about them.

I bought a used (1994) NAPA air compressor 2 years ago. I don't know who built it. Model 82-256VAT (Ser.#M1687) 2 Stage 13CFM (7CFSM) 175 PSI Max. I have it set at 150, regulated down to 90. It's still going strong and I am very happy with it. I think it cost about a grand in '94; I paid $400. It was used in a small machine shop and is in nice condition. Anybody out there know who built this for NAPA?

buy a campball hausfeld 80 gallon 7hp model. excellent.

My wifes X bought a NAPA compressor...Way, Way too big of a tank for the pump..It's new , horizontal tank , takes forever to pump up..I'd estimate 60 gallon tank...Pump even looks too small.....Watch what you buy
