The 'aw crap' tool vividly reminds me of a tool-flinging incident that happened to me in the early 70's. This was before I had a shop and I was working outdoors on a 62 Rambler using a very long screw driver to pry on the generator. We had sows with their pigs in the cattle yard and the pigs were getting under the fence and were finding their way to me so they could chew on my pant legs. After shooing them away twice I finally blew my cool and flung the screw driver at them, only to watch the screw driver go right through the side of one of the pigs. I thought "oh my gawd, I've killed one of dad's pigs", but it ran away with the handle sticking out of one side and the blade out the other. I chased it around for awhile and finally got close enough to pull the screw driver back out. It ran back to the barn and the next morning there were no dead pigs so it must have survived. Jim

I hammered my thumb real bad one time, and in my pain and anger, I wildly threw my claw hammer real hard. I went inside and ran cold water over my thumb for awhile and bandaged it up.

Then it took me more than an hour to find the hammer I had flung...remarkable how much strength you have when you are mad and hurt. When I found the hammer, I realized that it had gone over my car, and must have just missed hitting it in a side window.

I have hammered fingers since then, but never had the urge to throw the offending tool again. Lesson learned, and luck was with me that day!

Saw a guy throw a hammer at a horse that would not quit raiding the back of his pickup one time. Claws stuck in the side of his head tight and he took off. Was finally penned, hammer dislodged, and no long term effects. Amazing and frightening. Matt.

It is very true! The screwdriver went through just below the spine. There must be a little gap in there above the organs. Jim

animal cruelty? Yeah, maybe.

If it WEREN'T for the necessity of my dad hitting a cow with a flashlight to prevent her from walking over him, I would consider your post animal cruelty. Just try to not do that again.
