Is there any wisdom on bleeding the air out of a Porta-power. This one sat in the box with a loose plug for probably 8 years. It was pretty empty. Filled it up and experimented with the various screw holes (including the ball valve cover), even pumped it and popped the valve at the hose top several times. Still acting too spongy to be useful as if there is a lot of air in it.
Thanks in advance,

Chris

Pump it up as much as possible. Then set it with the return valve as high as you can get it. That lets all the air to come out first..Then open the release valve and force the cylinder back in. You may have to do this 3 or 4 times before getting all the trapped air out of the pump.
