Just watched this anvil sell for $5100.00 on ebay. The seller has anvils on ebay and black smith tools most of the time. Six dollars a pound is this the going price? This is much more than even two cyl tractors.

I have my Great Grandfathers Anvil And I use it daily it is 125 LB one is all I can do to pick up . This dude is over 100 years old & twenty years ago I was offered $2 a pound for it so the price doesn't sound to bad seeing the price of scrap has gone up from $1 a hundred to $4 A hundred since then .

There are "anvils" and there are ANVILS. Quality anvils are in very high demand. Don't confuse cast steel or wrought iron anvils with garbage cast iron anvils from Harbor Freight.

What you have to understand is the fact that those anvils are alloyed with Kryptonite. It is the only thing that Superman couldn't pick up. The sad thing is, the Kryptonite destroys the brain cells of the owners and causes delusions of superior value and the desire to boast that 'Mine's bigger than your's'.
