I bought the poulan pro pole saw about 1-1/2 years ago at TSC. It worked great when I first got it but it"s got to where it do"nt want to run after it starts. You have to play with the choke to keep it running. I got digusted with it and bought a remington electric pole saw.

Like my Poulan. Also bought the weed eater head for mine. One less engine to maintain. TSC had a kit that contained both a year ago or so.

They are a great little saw for an occasional user. If you are going to use it a lot, buy an Echo, there is not a better pole pruner made than the Echo brand of pole pruners.

I've got one that I'm happy with. I don't use it a whole lot, but when I do it sure is handy to have.

no Poulan experience but bunch of Husky time if you are talking about gas powered pole saw

cuts great but real easy to pinch the bar and get it stuck way up there, if you cut straight up eyes get full of sawdust, branches come swinging down with lots of oomph so do NOT stand on top of a camper near the edge while trimming, use a FEL to get more height

Husky comes apart in the middle so you only have full lenth, easy to strain your shoulders, Stilh extends from the base as much as you want but gets real springy when fully extended

Just set a rope over a higher branch with the tie point at the center of gravity on the cut branch. Tie off the loose end and make the cut, then let the branch down easy and controlled.

front end loader, with a pole saw it gives you almost as much height as a bucket truck

if you trust the tractor operator
