We have a cornwell tool truck starting a route in our area on monday. Anyone out there have any experience with there tools? I own mostly mac tools and some snapon. I am not really partial to any one brand so if the price is right I will buy some tools from him.[color=green:5ac63ed259][/color:5ac63ed259]

I started out with all Snap-On tools but the price was outragous. The Cornwell guy started showing up about 2 years ago and I will not buy anything but Cornwell tools from now on. Warranty is not even a question with them if you break it he replaces it. I work in a diesel shop and do alot of fabrication and break drill bits and he doesn't complain about replacing even the little ones. Great tools and Even Better Customer Service. Since then I have even bought a new tool box and it is great also.

Cornwell guy showed up today and was realy nice. I was impressed with his selection and the quality of his tools . Every thing had the bar code and price tag right on it so you knew what it cost with out having to bug him. We've been with out a snap-on guy for about a year now, nice to have other tools to look at other than just mac tools.

Have some that are over 50 years old. Never broke any but they are sort of large and bulky. Not thinwall or 12 point. Think FoMoCo used to buy a lot of them for production use.

Cornwell is a great employee owned company. Their tools are old school not having changed much in the last 30 years or so. Their ratchets are 30 tooth action, their chrome sockets have a hole for the detent ball on one side only, and they only make some of what they sell. their tools aren't much cheaper than the other tool trucks and their selection is limited in some areas. Their dealers are some of the nicest I've met over the years. Problem is in my area they don't last long.

I see them used all the time in the factory. Most of the sockets used in our assembly line are Cornwalls. The stuff driving them is usually GSE or IR. The sockets are made to not fall off, but they might be special for our use. Never seen one wore out.

Their sockets aren't tapered on the drive end and will mess up the retaining ring on your impact if you change sockets much. My opinion on their tools is their better than craftsman but nowhere close to snapon or mac. chris

Some are made by other companies. Like some of their air tools were made by Ingersoll-Rand. But there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm with Doug. Cornwell makes good tools and sells them at a more reasonable price than the other traveling toolmen. There are some tools I like the feel of better than Cornwells but for the most part if I need a specialty tool I go Cornwell.

Excellent tools,I am a heavy equipment mechanic and I have a bunch of'em.In some cases(deep well impact sockets)they have held up better than Snap On.
