Reading the manual about checking the compression on my Case 580C with a 207 diesel. Where can I find the tools needed, gauge CD504, adaptor D558, injector removal tool A43278 and reamer a43277?

Snap On sells a glow plug compression tester, Don't know if that would help you, but I know its easier most of the time to get a glow plug out than an injector.

Rather than spend all that money, if you suspect low compression remove the exhaust manifold and see which cylinder spits white smoke when the engine starts and first runs. Take the injector out of that cylinder and swap it for one that is in cylinder that does not smoke white. Start it again. If the smoke stays with the cylinder compression is the suspect. If it moved with the injector, get it tested. Questions?

Cleaver idea. As soon as it warms up a bit I will give it a try.

you may need to go to a case dealer that sells industrial machines, if the ag dealer cant get them. other iwse, check with snap on , mac or matco tool trucks. they should be able to order what you need.
