I installed a MM on a 14' cattle gate this past weekemd. Took more time to get the gate square and stable. Installation it self was easy - and the most challenging part was I had power at the gate, but they supplied an indoor charger so I had to gen up a weatherproof enclosure for it. Good luck.

I have a MM at my house setup on a battery/solar.. I've had it a lil over a year now.. no problems other than the (many) times My wife has backed into the gate and either crushed the gate or knocked the post out of the ground.. ( MM power arm has survived each time.. if and when it does fail.. if it is a mechanical failure.. I'll get another one.. as I'm sure my wife limited it's mechanical life each time she gunned her SUV into the 16' gate because she can't operate a rear view mirror... oh.. wait.. I guess I'm ranting!

I"ve used GTO Pro (Mighty Mule Upgrade) for around 9 years on a drive thru gate. Had to replace the jell battery last year. Not knowing why exactly it wasn"t working properly, I emailed the dealer I bought it from. They sent an excellent diagnostic paper.

There was a thread on this subject on either this oor tractor talk forum withing the past 18 mmonths. Might do a search for that.

When I was in the fence business thirty years ago, I installed several commercial gate operators. The only residential operator I've had experience with was for my son on the 12' wide by 7' tall wrought iron gate I built for his driveway. He bought a Mighty Mule and I helped him install it. I was very impressed with its features.
