8 section disc?/ what type of seed?

the disc i found has eight groups of discs each group or whatever it's called is about 10 feet long and has a bunch of discs (like plates) and they all rotate. it's pretty wide. i don't know what all these parts r called but i appreciate the help. the pasture is for horses and cows and it's in north eastern ohio. thank you

Well, it sounds a little like a disk, but never heard of an 8 section. The 'plates' are solid cupped metal, and it is layed out in a 'v' formation? Are there 2 rows of 'v' one behind the other, or just one? Are the 'plates' about 15-20 inches in diameter? What color is it? Does it have wheels, or just drag along the ground?

You will need to give us way more info on what you want to feed, if you want to harvest any of it, what soil type & what climate you live in before anyone can give you any answers on the hay/ pasture stuff.
