OK i realize this is a little off the subject, but I have a question and I trust you won't steer me wrong. I just purchased a 1979 Jeep CJ5. It has 32'' tires on is as well as a 3'' lift. I would like to know if I can remove the lift kit and still use the 32'' tires.

Well robert if the tires are 32" and its got a 4" lift you can take the lift out.but,if you plan on putting a flexible suspention in the jeep well you might want to leave it.Another thing if you are going to be 4-wheeling with it you might also think of keeping the lift in it,you get more clearence ya know.well good luck, hope it works for ya. I HAD THE SAME SET UP. YOU SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AS LONG AS THE SHOCKS STILL FIT, WHICH I DONT THINK THEY WILL. BE SURE THE WHEELS HAVE ENOUGH CLEARENCE FOR TIGHT TURNS AND BE SURE TO REPLACE THE SHOCKS WITH FAIRLY STIFF ONES TO MINIMIZE ROLL OVER. JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY WHY DO YOU WANT TO LOWER IT???

Robert:

You may want to get into a four wheel drive forum,
but tractor guys do know a little about other things too.

Without the lift kit the tires you have would probaly touch your body and may limit your turning ability. I have a set of 33" tires on my Jeep just
so I can roll it around while I do a restoration and no way could they work without a lift. My nephews Jeep has a 3" lift with a rancho suspension kit and he has no problems. For the past 15 years I have ran 10" x 15" Armstrong Tru-Tracs on my Jeep with good luck.
