420 John Deere CrawlerPlug Fouling.

My 420 JD keeps fouling it`s plugs even though it was recently rebuilt.I tried splitfire plugs with no results. What can be dine?

Hope you didn't get damaged piston rings during the overhaul. Get a hotter spark plug for your machine. Make sure you didn't get the wrong plugs in first. Then widen the gap on the spark plug another .005" beyond the specs. Check the timing, and possibly set it ahead a few Deg. beyond the specs. Also try higher octane fuel. The carb. may be set too rich.

P.S. Make sure the thermostat in the cooling system hasn't been removed, or is stuck open.. Your engine can be running at a much cooler than normal temp.
