Do any of you need some exercise? Our John Deere Dain baler will work off those few pounds you put on over the winter. I expect to be down to 110 by July. HaHA

I remember when I was 10 or 12 tying the bales while my dad threw the hay and my younger brothe pushed wires back. My dad still has the old baler he bought from Montgomery Ward.

I can remember when that kinf of baler was all there was here where I live. I also had the job at times polking wire through to the other side, so it could be tied. If you weren't careful you could tie the devider to the bale comming out. That must have been in the early 50's. Stan

My wife who just turned 82 says that her job was working on one of these stationary balers. Her job was to push the wire back though for the other per to tie the knot.
