Planted some green peppers this year and the leaves are tuning yellowish brown.Never had this problem before. How much water should they get?Soil seems damp,is there a possibility of overwatering them?

Don't count them out yet. Peppers are slow to go sometimes. You may wan't to check your PH a little lime may be in order.

Yes they can be over watered. Peppers also like nitrogen. If it is too wet and especially wet and cool some diseases can play havoc with peppers. Copper compounds can help as a fungicide. Very few other fungicides are registered for peppers. Ridomil is but it is expensive. Yellow is usually a nitrogen or iron defieciency. Brown could be disease or necrotic (dead) tissue. How long has it been since they were transplanted? Peppers seem to go backward for a while before they take off.

They should start to improve soon. Take a plant or leaf to the local extension office or a local farmer. They might be able to help.
