Right now they are removing the Caskets from the plane at Ramsteim Air Base, Germany. It is sad to watch this they gave there lives for us! Give the Soldiers a pat on the back for what he/she is doing. Keep the familys of these soldiers in your prayers. Mark H.

I sure hope we don't have another 50,000 come home in boxes. I've got 2 boy's, and one wants to enlist when he graduates. I think it would be a good experience for him, but not at the cost of his life!

It's very consoling to know that the second chopper went down while attempting to rescue the soldier that fell or who was pulled out of the first chopper that was hit. They put themselves in harm's way for their comrades-and a very noble tradition in American service lives on through their sacrifice....Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for another....

When I turned 18 I joined the Army to go to Vietnam just like my Brother and Father did. Their was no way I wasn't going to come back. Allot did not come back alive. Don't stop your son from joining and doing his duty for the fear of dieing that could happen in a car wreck. It would be good for him to serve his country and later in life he could be proud of what he did for his country! We need good men to defend it and he would have earned his right to hold his head high when he comes back. I joined when the draft was still in effect. Mark H.

May God take care of those guys and their families. If it wasn't for people like them, we wouldn't be here. Many thanks to all of our soldiers!!!

I agree wholeheartedly. I will also add that we should be willing to spend whatever is needed to equip these folks with the best tools and iron they need to get the job done. Yes, there is waste in military procurement, but by and large the funds are used well. I get sick and tired seeing some so-called government watch dog on a talk show spew about how military hardware doesn't work when truthfully some of these experts don't even know which end of the tube the round comes out of. They whined about how big a POS the M1 Abrams tank was before the Iraq war. Ask an Iraqi tanker how good their Russkie T-72 was and how crappy the M1 was. Oh! I forgot! The Iraqi tankers are all dead.

I agree with you all. Let's keep our troops in our prayers and pat them on the back every chance we get. Not just in war time , but in peace time as well. Sometimes I get upset when I hear sports people complain that they ain't making as many millions as the other guy(and it's all for a game). But, our men/women of the armed forces are laying there lives on the line around the world and they are underpayed and under appreciated! I'm thankful to my Lord each day for letting me live in this great nation and I'm thankful to those who chose to keep it that way by paying the ultimate sacrifice. To all you tractor guys/gals that wore the uniform ,(especially you Ray(IN))I give you my heartfelt thanks and my gratitude. May God Bless you!! Scott

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who gave their lives for all of us , not only those of us in the US , but all of us in the free world .

We must support all of our fighting men and women and keep the flags flying high , especially now .

God Bless all of the soldiers and their families .

Thank you for keeping us free !

You're right Mark, a sad day indeed. I guess we all expect those things beforehand however when they happen it's tragic. Hopefully, the whole thing will be over with ASAP and things can get back to normal (if that's possible).

My comments is to send the 3rd infantry division home. Why, because they are very tired and they fought a good battle send the ones that never went in yet. Also the Army needs to stop lying saying there be home on this day and that day. They need to tell them the day and time so that the families will be ready to recieve the families home. Thank you for your time.

This reminds me of the 50,000 American military who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Viet Nam. Once in a while I still get guilt feelings about coming home safe.

Mark, I just watched the 60 minutes show tonight. That was too much for me, I had to leave the room and compose myself. It brought back so many memories, none good.

Ray; There are some things time never heals. As a Brother we know what we can watch and what we can't. We just try to keep it tucked way back in the mine and try not let things bring it out again. Welcome Home!! Mark H.
