Cecil, I have been selling them for years, haven't had an L series HST apart except one that came from the factory defective. I really don't know why it would be many thousands cheaper than the Deere (I wish that was the case around here, !!!!) Seriuosly, the Kubota HST has electronic servos that interface between you and the tranny,..much smoother and not as hard on the tranny. If you are considering either a 4610 or a 4900, then you are obviously not locked into a hydro tranny? You should consider an MX 5000; basically the same chassis as the 4610, beefed a little in the rear, bigger rubber, clutched shuttle from low to reverse, and less than a 4610! Yhe 4900 is a very good tractor also, but the 4610 isn't one of my favorites. Not a quality issue, just a $$$$ issue, it is just a 4310 with the pump turned up a little, (you tell me what you can do with 46hp that you can't with 43!!!), and of course a heavier front axle and loader, so if you're not doing ALOT of heavy loader work, they don't strike me as being worth the extra $$$$. If you would like though, give me a yell, we have a demo L4610HST with about 140 hrs which we are goimg to sell "as new" for warranty and financing purposes, but at a reduced price. Email is CaseKub3@msn.com Pete
