the pursuite of happiness is a constutional right so I believe he should not be criticized by zoning or local govt or any one for doing what he wants. You have the right of free speech to say he is obsessed and I have the right to say it sounds like you are getting close to criticizing his use of his right to his pursuite of happiness. Local zoning laws do that all the time.

Easy there partner, I don't think anyone here was being critical of the tractor field or the guy at all. Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is a "TRACTOR" forum and we all like that kind of thing. On the other hand, zoning ordinances are in no way a violation of your constitutional rights.

Oh the memories that old red and black Dodge pickup brings back. Uncle Bill had one 50 years ago...and it was tougher than nails...cause cousin Dick and I had a helluva time tearing the rearend out of it. We succeeded but it took a lot of effort. I think it was the spider gears...cause it wouldn't go anywhere and made a terrible clunking sound when you tried. L8R....Fred OH

Jim, I would say it looks like a field of dreams.
Mine, his, who knows, they look better than rusting away in the woods unseen.

Gee Kelly , I used to have a woman like that . Passed up some nice tractor deals , just to please her . 33 yrs of marriage & then she leaves anyhow . Yippee, now I'm single & love it . It's great not having to ask permission anymore . Now some other dude has to listen to her whims . If I have the scratch & want it - I get it . I envy that farmer having all those toys . Good luck

It's funny that you should mention the wife and her comments.
One of the trucks had a sign on the side and it read something like this.
"for the wife"
A few tractors is good,
more is better
To many is just right
