Chuck, They are separates, the clutch housing separates the engine and tranny; the dipstick should be on right side behind brake pedals. Engine oil should be changed at every 100 hours, some will say 200 hrs, it is your decision(200 hours at 50 mph is equivalent to 10000 miles for an automobile, who change oil at ...); for the tranny, I use Hytran(or equivalent ;years ago they recommended SAE 90) and 1000 hours life is a minimum, again your decision and related to dirty appearance of oil; if there is remote hyd, oil gets dirty more rapidly. If no remotes, oil level should be constant height. Add grease once every 20 hrs at all grease fittings(small quantity, but more often); change oil in the air filter every 10 hours, or more frequently if working in dust conditions. Also there is a sediment bowl for gas, clean it frequently when engine is cold, by the way, the glass is fragile; dont forget to clean the radiator(outside) and never add water from a sluice to a radiator. Finally, use draw bar to work safely, not the third point on the 3-point hitch; a tractor is ... a tractor, not a formule-1. MF-50 is a very fine tractor, have fun. Rlach
