... want to use something other than calcium. What non-corrosive product gives the best weight for the dollar? Also need help figuring how much product to buy - can someone tell me how many gallons of fluid is needed for a 16.9 x 24 tire?
Thanks for helping!

Around these parts, no one will even install the calcium any more. Everyone has switched to water and antifreeze. Ben using the water/antifreeze for years with no problems. Even had a flat on the rear and they were able to pump the remaining water/antifreeze out and re-use it by just adding some more antifreeze. Don't want any calcium - - ben there done that.

Calcium is best for weight and money. As long as it's over the rim there is little corrosion. With a tube you can fill it at any level up to just over the rim. If against Calcium, cast wheel weights may be your best option.

calcium gives the best weight per dollar. If you have good tubes it should be good forever.

Rim-Guard or the beet pulp stuff.

Antifreeze is hazardous & too light, IMHO.

Paul, Also if you do the math, gallon for gallon, antifreeze is much more expensive than calcium.
