Guys, I'm getting to old to be have to keep up with the constant maintenance on my old Avery and 8N tractors. Have been looking at something newer, can't really justify the prices of the USA ones, as I am no longer a full time farmer. Don't much like the workmanship of the Farm Pro, Nortrac, etc. But was impressed with the 35Hp and 40hp Mahindra. Have anyone had any good or bad experiences with them. The Tractor and loader seemed well made and handled nice. Thanks for your input!!

It is my understanding that the mahindra tractors are actually the old IH model B275,B414 and 574 models with different engines and better brakes. when IH was bought out by tenneco (not case)that everthing was sold to this company. these are very well built tractors .we have a 574 with a 2250 loader and 5000 hours and the only thing we replaced are the front tires and clutch.

I have a 3505DI. Have had it for about 1 year and have put 250 hrs on it. I am using it on 50 acres to clear tallow trees, improve pasture,
general work around farm. I do not have loader.
I have had an IH and a John Deere in the past and find the Mahindra to be equal or petter than either. It is a very rugged machine.

I did a little research looking for B 414 IH parts and the E350 mahindra is the only cousin the B414 . The compact 4x4's are a different animal.

The compact Mahindra tractors are made in Korea.

I don't think you can go wrong with Mahindra. Which 40 HP model are you looking at?? I have the 6000 4WD/w loader. 60hp diesel 8X8 speeds with synco shuttle shift. What a horse!! All the Mahindra's are "overbuilt" sort of like the old days when they kept putting iron/steel into the tractor till nothing broke. Yes the hydrostatic Power steering is like driving a Caddy..BobG in VA

I decided to get the Mahindra 4500, its 42HP, Dual clutch, P/S,Remote HYD, 3 Cyl Diesel, 8 fw, 2 rv, 3968 lift cap, 4752wt.without att. I'm getting the loader also. haven't decided yet if I really need the backhoe attachment or not. The dealer is only 3 miles from my farm so I been a real pest this past week. $15,600 for the works sounds good too me. What do you'll think?

I've had a Mahindra 575 (45hp) for four years and have used it without repairs. I used it weekly either with a bushhog or a 7 ft finishing mower. The power steering is really great, the mechanicals are very well made and the hydraulics are very good. It is a solid utility tractor.
The only thing better is a new one that is even better built.

I've had a Mahindra 350 for three years, working a small farm, and it's a very solid tractor. Simple, dependable, durable, economical with parts available from several online stores. My neighbor has a similar Deere -- the Mahindra is just as heavy and can outlift it.

That is the the largest selling tractor in its class in the US. They are very well built. Also built in INDIA where I-H had a factory. Those other ones you were talking about are made in CHINA under lots of different names have read that casting break and other bad things and several sources have said to stay away from them.
