I got into the room and saw the chatting. I posted a message twice on the message bar at the top of the screen, but it wouldnt post it on the board. I tried the pok on the right side by the bar, but no go. What did I do wrong?

If you guys wish to host a chat forum, you'll need to grow some mighty thick skin.

It also takes some gall to go onto a web site and advertise here, trying to steal away their members. There is a finite amount of computer time for each of us. The time we spend on your site is less time we spend on this site.

I'm not saying you are right or wrong; Just, have you considered what it may look like you are doing? Some might not appreciate that. Just something to think about. You need to be careful how you present yourself to others - no matter how good your intentions - or what you meant to say, appearence is everything. Some folks might be kinda gruff here - maybe even me. :) But, at the root of it, we have good points for you to learn from - if you have a thick skin, and are willing to listen & learn. You could learn & grow from some of it.

you know paul, my might just like it there there are quite a few of folks from minnesoda there. you might just find that you might me some poeple that can do more than tell you what to do. might even meet a few that you might get together with and do something with. not saying you cant to that here.

I don't understand why people who want to chat are advertising in this forum. Most of the people here want to exchange information not just BS. If we want to "chat" we can find our own chat rooms. I only have a limited amount of "computer time" and don't want to spend a lot of time shootin' the breeze. Don't the threads in chat rooms go away once they scroll off screen? The info here is archived for future use by whoever and whenever it is needed.

well for you miss information. no the chat hasa history that has never been cleared and takes abought 10 minutes to load the hole thing, now as for your other missinformd post, why dny you read who the first post was made by. it was made by a good friend of mine richard wyler. that link is to his case board. i have posted abought my board also. now than i never said that you had to come over, but i am glad that i gave you something to complain abought, hope that you spend all your time worrieing abought what others are doing so you can complain abought it. but i bet that living in Oragon there is not to much to keep you busy is there. as for speeling i did not know that you had to be a great speller in order to post on ytmag.com if that is the case WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE????? ????

I want to be clear - I have no ill will towards any of you, and am not against your chat boards. :)

I'm only trying to express my point of view, or how things _could_ look to others. But I don't mean anything against you, don't mean to be harsh or rude. Sometimes in trying to make a point and still be brief, written words look a little more sharp than they were intended.

richard wyler is my good friend and it is that we have two seperate chat rooms that are both used, but diesided that we would like to expand the group of people that we talk to. it never hurts to expland your group of freinds

guess what makes it curious is that you have a reply to your own message on all the forums here. That is a 'typical' spamming thing that undesirable folks do..... .

Note that I am not calling you a spammer, but that you did something that makes you look like one. :) It might be smarter in the future to group your thoughts well before posting so only 1 message is needed, and not flood a whole site with a message on each and every forum. Maybe take it a little easy on that part.

I didn't check EVERY discussion board but, by golly, you're right. Every one I did check had an advertisement from the same person to join a "chat room". I better go check it out. Maybe somebody is making some money on this spam. Hate to be left out.
