Ever wonder just how many of the tractor photo ads here at the YT site get sold through those ads? I noticed today 566 tractor ads .... any guesss how many complete a deal? I would think that the distances involved and the fact that even if you saw something you are interested in, how many of us would buy a tractor you don't get to see or operate?

We've sold two tractors, a plow, a loader, and a trailer with the photo adds. All were sold to buyers that I would have never reached with a news paper add. I am in WI and one tractor went to WA. Have also bought one tractor and some parts from the photo adds on this site. Best of all you can't beat the price of the adds!!

I had an ad on here a couple years ago. I had a portable welder for sale or trade. Ended up trading it for a Farmall H 50 miles from home. So, yes they are effective. And best of all, they're FREE!!!!

Well I have experience on both sides. I bought my Cockshutt 60 from a photo ad here and I posted one for my cousin a while back. My cousin couldn't believe the calls he got from one ad on the internet (not very computer oriented). He ended up selling it (a Massey 44) to a local fellow but he still figured the pressure from other interested people helped sell it.

So yes it is a very good way to buy and sell tractors and parts.

Haven't bought a tractor from there yet but plenty of parts and such. Bought a few implements along the way. Keep on drooling over some of the deals but when I factor in freight costs it is out of my league.

Till then I stay out of skillet range and keep building the tractor fund a bit at a time.

I bought my 39 JD H from an ad on here. It was in Woodland Ca. I'm in Dalhart Tx. So I know of at least one that sold.

You got that right. XIT weekend is always the wildest this little town gets. It seems to have mellowed though. It's not near as wild as some several years ago.
BTW That little H won the Best Antique Tractor award at this years parade. I didn't think I even had a chance. Catch ya' later

I have found two of my tractors on the photo ads as well as a sickle mower. I just kept looking until one came up that was close enough for me to travel and get a hands on evaluation. Yes, I drool over all the wonderful good buys that are too far out of reach, but sometimes you do get lucky.
