I just picked up a Ford 860. The former owner told me the 3-point tends to drift down in time and he was right. Has anyone worked through this problem. Any help will be appreciated.
Gary

Gary, How long does it take and how much weight is it carrying? If it drops in a couple of minutes, without any implements or weight on it, not good. If it takes overnight to drop with a six foot back blade on it, start bragging. If it takes an hour to drop with substancial weight, you don't need to get real worried.

When is the last time hydraulic fluid was changed? Is it the correct fluid and amount? Do you have any water in the bottom of the housing?

After answering these questions, you may have to go inside the unit and replace seals in the cylinders, maybe check out control, safety and relief valves while your are in there. Post back and give more info, check out the Ford discussion board, search their archives, email if you need more info.
