Mornin Folk's, been awhile since we last heard each other's weather. So I reckon we can all let each other know what's going on in our own little part of the country. As for hear (Hastings Mn) temp is at 31 degree's an snow is coming down at a good clip. Already have 1" on the ol-truck. If this keep's up I will have to shovel snow by tonight. (:<) Don C.

I'm ready, got 3 cords of firewood split, and stacked, chimney swept, stove blacked. Propane tank filled, generator set up to burn it. Today the charge in my blackpowder rifle cooked off about 10 am, and scared every buck on the mountain. Where's the cold weather the wooly bears predicted?

Texas coast was 85, sunny and light breezes. No like snow, grew up in Ohio, sat too long in one spot and left a chunk there when I stood up.

8" of snow in Heber City Utah over the weekend. More falling today. Hopefully the end of a 5 year drought, but we've been suckered into thinking that before....2001/02 comes to mind. It snowed most of Nov and Dec '01 just in time to have snow for the '02 Olympics and then it completely shut off for the rest of the winter. We ended up with less than average moisture for the 3rd year in a row. Now here it is 2 years later. Last winter was a complete non-event. I didn't fire up the tractor even once to move snow and that's really weird at 5400' elevation in the Rocky Mtns.

So, while I'm glad to see this snow, I'm still holding my breath....

Here in So. Calif. we are getting a little rain, and snow in the mountains. This is much needed to help put the rest of the fires out. After 300 thousand acres, and 2,800 houses. If your state sent help Thanks. Not all of the problem is the with the tree hugger group, but when you cant clear your land because of bird, or frog, something is wrong here.

My wife said I should show someone in pool instead of flowers.
I think that would have been like rubbing salt in a wound though.
Enjoy the great weather while it last.

My most unfavorite words - unseasonably. Whatever follows is never good as it means it is going to be too hot, dry, cold, wet, etc.

Report from north Texas is unseasonably warm with highs expected to be around 85. Should see some more normal temperatures later this week with lows in the high 40's and highs in the 60's. We still are in desperate need of rain. We haven't had a good rain since the Spring. All of my tanks are getting low and some just about dry. Neighbors are moving cattle over to our place because they are out of water.

Here it is November and we're still wearing shorts. Of course as the saying goes - If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a day.

At least you get a day in TX....LOL

In Minnesota you only get 5 minutes. South Central part, woke up to chilly temps and green grass. It has snowed and quit 3 times already by noon and shortly before noon, had some freezing rain tossed in for good measure. Temp right now is 28 and light flurries. About an inch still on the ground.

Here in central KY it's in the low 70's, bright sunshine. Unseasonably warm, haven't had a killing frost yet (almost a month late) wishing for it to cut down the pollen.

David

Chehalis, Washington - we got some snow saturday AM- probably the earliest ever here. Clear now, lows in the low 20's (also very early for those temps). I'm reminded of a cartoon I saw once- dimly outlined figures in a blizzard, with arms raised with some sort of cans in their hands- the caption was "The hardy inhabitants of Frostbite, North Dakota spray their aerosol cans skyward, trying to help global warming along a bit."
