I figured I'd post this to see if any body would like to know how I built this snow plow. Since I have built this plow I have never had to put chains on the tractor and plowed snow up to 24 inches deep. My driveway is a mile long and I have a big hill to go up to plow it. Well if I here back from a couple of you I will tell you all how its is built etc. The only thing you have to have a loader on your tractor for it to work. So post if you want to know about it

Well shucks, add me to the list of curious folks as well. Maybe I can make my 8N do something in the winter.

Get us a picture, if you can. Most of us enjoy seeing other folks' work and finding ideas to improve on our own!

I built one on the front of the loader arms on a Farmall Super M. It's about 40" high, and all my neighbors laughed at me for putting such a big blade on the old tractor. They quit laughing when I opened the road past their houses.

My Granddad homesteaded a ranch in SE Montana and made a snow plow out of an old steel tractor wheel with 2"x12" wings and pulled by DC Case. The last plow I had was a Versatile 700 with a 14 foot Degelman angle dozer. It sure made a difference. Here in sunny southern Arizona we don't worry that stuff.

I use this on an 801 ford with front end loader. I took and old boiler tank and cut two pieces out of it 5'X2' and made a V plow, at the bottom if it I took a piece of U iron to fit the bottom lip of the bucket and welded it to the V with 2 angle iron pieces slanted in words make it easy to line it up with the bucket and on top of the V made a piece that goes back to the top of the bucket and a piece of U iron there also. when its up to the bucket I put a couple chains around it and bommer it tight and off I go. works very well and the V keeps it from pushing the front of the tractor to one side or the other. Makeing the V is the hardest part of the welding/cutting. E-mail me if you would like more and maybe I'll even get some picture of it. If enough people ask.
