HE IS VERY SMART. HE IS IN THE 7TH GRADE AND IS TAKING HIS ACT. TEST FOR DUKE UNIVERSITY. IT WAS 80 DEGREES AND HE LOCKED HIS KNEES SO HE COULD STAND THERE. Man, you don't know how many times I tried to lock my knees and faint when standing in formation for a parade on a blistering hot day. I used to hate those parades. I just couldn't make it happen. I don't think it's really true that locking your knees makes you faint. ";^)
I am a vet and I did get the day off (with pay, thank you!).

Veteran's day is a bummer of a holiday, the goobermint and bank employees get the day off, but hardly any veterans. I think you ought to get the day off if you served during a shooting conflict. Or at least get holiday pay! ;-)

YOU ARE SO RIGHT THAT WOULD SHOW GREAT RECOGNITION FOR SERVING OUR COUNTRY, AND BE ABLE TO GO TO SOME OF THESE EVENTS.

I second that!! It would really recconize a veteran if only veterans had the day off.
