Hi Guys,

Finally, this little project is about complete.

Outside lighting is coming on Monday and I have the groundscaping yet to do next spring. But, at least I didn't have any frost on the windows this morning!

Well it looks great! I would love to have that little addition in my yard, I cold use the space. But where are the tractors? Those don't look like tractors I see in there?

Allan,

I may have missed the comment but in regard to your earlier post about your low driveway being slick and allowing you to slide out onto the county road or highway. Since your photo shows that you have a garage that will prevent frost or snow from covering your windows which is good. What is not good however is the fact that many of us are always in a hurry. Your autos should be fully warmed up before you start down the hill because if they are cold the auto choke is on and that may cause you to need to touch your brakes and cause a skid to start. I don't know if others mentioned this but I think it is something to watch for. The warm engine will start out with lower rpm's so you may not need to use the brakes. Nice looking place.
Good luck.

A very nice job and it looks great.. If you're like most of us,, how long will it be before the cars are both sitting out on the apron because the garage is full of "treasures"??

Dick,

Ain't it the truth!! I had the contractor build a 4 X 30' shelf along the far wall, which is about 7' high. But, it is already filling up very quickly.

Also, I told the wife that I want to cover the floor with indoor/outdoor carpeting and put knotty pine on the walls.

She's started to glance at me with this strange look on her face here lately. :>)

I've got to get after that insulation pretty quickly tho, and get the heat to it 'cause when this winter sets in, it will be here to stay this time around.

Maybe this will throw her off guard for a day or two. :>)

Thanks for the hollar,

Allan

That looks great. Where do you live? That looks like where we live 40 miles SW of Denver, CO.

Hi Fudd,

I'm 'bout 250 miles NNE of Denver. Same church, different pews! I'm on the Pine Ridge which chops thru the NW corner of Nebraska.

Yepper,

The driveway is a maniac, but it isn't the problem. The drive connects to the county road back behind where I took the picture about 30 feet and another 10 or 15' higher. Not a problem.

The problem is that county road which is cut thru the cliff & swings around to the left side and heads down to the hi-way. And it cannot be redone without a whooping cost as this whole area sets up on a butte.

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, this is my summertime, vacation, dreamland come true. :>(

I've learned to deal with it tho.
