The ping or ting sound was the very low octane carb cleaner detonating like a hammer blow inside the cylinder. Detonation like this causes tremendous cylinder pressure that can break rings or pistons, blow head gaskets, bend rods if severe enough. The weak link was the crimp that holds the insulator in the sparkplug shell which blew out and relieved the pressure. There is every chance that nothing else is damaged, and all you need to do is install a new sparkplug. Dont believe all the silly garbage about champion plugs. While not my first choice, they have and still do serve me very well. There is a quality difference, but not very much.
