Some years ago I put a Cummins 855 in a Case 2470. Cummins or others have a program to retrofit the B series engine in smaller, 2wd tractors. For Cummins info call Cummins Great Plains- 319-366-7537. Steve Mallicoat. Or call Kinze mfg.-319-668-1300. Jim Spaid. Very helpful folks.

Do you know about this magazine? This fall they had a copy dedicated to repowering. Shoot, a guy put a Plymouth Omni engine in his Bobcat for Pete's sake. Another guy put a Perkins in a F-150, Some nut put a Deere combine engine in a 1 ton Chevy.
A farmer put a huge Cummins (14 litre) into his big Case 4X4. Looks like the hardest thing with most repowers is stretching, or widening the frame. Looks like most fellas used the local machine shop to fabricate adapter plates or alter flywheel bolts. Most make there own engine mounts.
Good luck to you. Check out the magazine. Mike D.

I was supposed to get that magazine with a renewal subscription to "Farm Show Magazine", but I received a copy of "Shop ideas" instead. Not as thick as last year's incentive.

Silliest conversion I saw in the magazine was putting a V-4 Wisconsin into an 8N Ford. Talk about out of the frying pan and into the fire. . .
