I have a m/f 235 that will not turn over, not a click. When I move the nuetral safety switch around it usualy starts, and will start up every time when the tractor is warm.It seems on cold mornings(yesterday, not realy cold)it won't do a thing.I check the two wires to the switch and are loose and worn.Is there any way to check this switch, and why does this happen when the motor is cold.

Sounds like you've solved the problem--"and are loose and worn". Splice in some new wires and connectors and see if it doesn't get better. Since it starts by moving the wires, the 'neutral safety switch' is probably not bad.

Thanks for your reply,I'll put new connections on and try that.It seems to me there is something more to it than that(new connections is a good start, and I hope it will)What makes the radio go all static when i try to turn the engine over?

It's a deisel, and the radio is in the shed about ten feet from the tractor(connected to the shed power)Several times when I try to start the engine the radio in the shed would go static, then nothing.I may have more than nuetral switch trouble, but this is beyond my understanding of the wiring. How do i bypass the nuetral switch to check and see if thats what it is.There are two round male connections that fit in to the two on top of the switch. Any help would be appreciated.

First, your radio noise is not stopping your tractor from starting. Second, pull the plug with two wires off the neutral switch and run a jumper wire from one wire to the other, that is, short out the plug from the tractor wiring. DANGER-Ensure that the tractor is in NEUTRAL!! It should crank right up, if it doesn't you may have bad battery cables/connections OR the solenoid on the Delco Starter is going bad OR the starter itself has an intermittent short. Clean the battery terminals/posts and check the wiring to the starter and starter switch.

Gas- caused by the ignition coil or wires, alternator, etc. Diesel- shouldn't be too noisy, maybe alternator. Run the "+" wire direct to the battery for your radio and ground close by. Noise filters for car radios will help. If your Neutral switch was bad then moving the wires wouldn't help, it wouldn't start until you by-passed the switch.
