I see a lot of neg. comments about agco tractors and was wondering what it is that people don't like about them. My Father inlaw has a massey 471 thats been pretty good so far, but at only 600 hrs. its to early to tell howw good it will be just yet. I'm not in the market for a tractor, I was just wondering about agcos, I am starting to see a few more around.

AGCO is a cowboy American operation which buys good companies, asset strips them, pays the board a huge bonus and then moves on to the next aquisition. They are short sighted accountants. Challenger and Valtra will go the same way as MF.

It's just color wars, nothing more. There are more dealers & raw numbers of tractors of the other brands. Agco has a number of different lines of lower volume machines.

So, when people have to brag & complain & pick on something to make themselves feel good & important (typical color war) the Agco family gets picked on more because there are less of them in the USA.

Simple numbers & human nature.
