Wards Riverside Tractor Tires

We are in the middle of restoring a 1939 JD A. After we got the tractor home, we dismounted all tires to repair/repaint the rims. On the rear were Montgomery Ward (Wards Riverside) tires which are in pretty good shape.

Did those tires come from JD, or are they more than likely replacements?

Should we remount these tires to add to the uniqueness of the tractor, or put on new Firestones as we originally planned on?

Thanks for your comments.

The Montgomery are a very good, slow speed, hard track, pulling tire. I lot of guys like to put them on their "Wards Tractors". What size are the tires? Earl In Illinois

They are 11-38. The tread is pretty good, but there is weather checking.

they were sold by Montgomery Wards. I have a set on my 66 that were bought new in 1967. good tires can't wear them out. they are however cracking bad
I would put new tires on if you are redoing the rest of the tractor.
