I OPERATE FORD 3600, FORD 5900, DEERE 3010 AND FURGASON 234. ALL HAVE A 2 STAGE CLUTCH'S THAT STOP THE PTO OPERATION WHEN HALFWAY DEPRESSED.
TELL ME...A FORD 6600 72 HORSE WILL DO THE SAME...CORRECT?
I BOUGHT A 6600 THAT RUNS AT HALF TEMPATURE AT IDLE, HAS A LEAKING RADIATOR, ENGINE BLOWBY AND WILL NOT STOP THE PTO WITH THE CLUTCH.
VERIFY THE CLUTCH...PLEASE.

That's asking for alot of info and troubleshooting at a distance with limited input. The old Deere 3010 did not have the two stage clutch. The 2020,2120 from Dubuque and Mannhiem had the two stage clutch. By the time that tractor is repaired, you will still have an old tractor and paid enough for a recent model used tractor.

7700 is hydraulic independent clutch, no need for the foot clutch. The 6600 was the same era, would it be independent?

6600 does NOT have a 2 stage clutch. The PTO lever actually opens a hydraulic valve that applies pressure to a piston coupling the PTO output shaft to the flywheel by way of a transmission threwput shaft. When in the off position it diverts oil to a PTO output shaft brake piston.

YOUR RIGHT ON THE MONEY. I JUST GOT A HOLD OF A GUY WITH A 6600 AND HE SAYS THE SAME THING. HERE'S ANOTHER QUESTION.
THE ENGINE RUNS SMOOTH AND SEEMS TO HAVE CONSIDERABLE POWER (REMEMBER IM USED TO A 3600).
THE HEAD WAS REPLACED ABOUT 200 HOURS AGO AND THE BLOWBY NOW IS VERY NOTICABLE WHEN YOU PULL THE DIPSTICK. IT BLOWS OIL OUT ABOUT 4 INCHES HIGH.
THERE IS NO SMOKE FROM THE EXHUAST.
YOUR IDEA.....PROBLEM OR NO?

Check the crankcase vent. I had a Massey Ferguson 135 that did the same thing. Found out muddobbers had stopped up the vent on the valve cover.

Big problem. That much pressure in the crankcase isnt good. At first blush I'd guess the rings are toast but even with that I have never seen that much propelled oil out of these engines. It almost strikes me that there is exhaust gas instead of compression gas in there and that would imply something wasnt done right on the head. Valves out of adjustment, bent push rod, pushrod not on a rocker arm or lifter, or there's something else bad wrong. I unmasked my email also.

Be careful. It is not only blowby that causes oil to come out of the dipstick hole when the engine is running. The 6600 has balancer gears driven from the crank right under the dipstick. These throw the oil around and throw it out of the dipstick tube. For blowby check the breather tube for signs of oil drips.
