I have to concur - having rented the exact same loader you described last weekend. One BIG drawback to the Allmand is it doesn't have 4 Wheel Drive, and the chasis is pretty low to the ground. When it gets bogged down in mud, it's extremely difficult to get it un-stuck. It took me almost 3 hours, and about 40 logs of firewood to get myself out of the muck. A 4WD would have faired much better. The backhoe is pretty powerful - for dirt/clay. Don't plan on using it for pulling out even deep rooted shrubs much less stumps. Trust me... it doesnt have the HP or the wheel size to grab hold and yank it free. $10k seems a bit on the high side to me. I've seen used Kabota's that run about $10k on Ebay, and only have 300-400 hours on them, by one owner. A rental unit (if that's what this is) has 100's of users, 95% of which I'm sure learned how to use the backhoe on this unit. (i.e lots of misuse!)
