How much is an Oliver 1750 worth?

I posted a similar message in the Oliver forum, so I apologize if you see it twice, but I wanted to get the most information possible from these forums.

Found a mid '70s Oliver 1750 with a loader the other day that looks like a pretty nice machine. It is more tractor than I will need, but I am finding that the bigger machines are actually more affordable than the 40-50 HP range compact/utility tractors (less demand I guess).

What are things to watch for on this machine?

Thanks for any help.

Kirk

Tractor prices of that HP range vary. I would guess between $3&8000. Not much of a guess. Start at $3,000. Add for wide front, diesel,tires,weights,2 hyd.outlets, and overall condition of the tractor. Since a loader is involved does is have a hyd. bucket? And what kind of bucket? More than one bucket? What size bucket? You have quite a bit of HP so you need a heavy, well built loader.
Some of these things may not be important to you, but remember it still counts on resale. If you supply some more details I'm sure some guys with more knowledge can give you a better estimate. One more thing. I sold a Oliver several years ago because of difficulty getting parts. I had to order everything and the dealer would order the wrong parts. The tractor often set for 2 weeeks to a month. Make sure you have a good dealer in the area.

Just to follow up:

It is really a 1755. Not being familiar with the model system I don't know what the difference would be.

It has a John Deere loader on it. I want to say a 240, but I don't remember for sure.

Our situation is that we bought this acreage a little more than a year ago and need some tools to make the work go a little easier. Last year we depended on the neighbors equipment or hired work done.

We have 15 acres (13 fenced in pasture for the horses). I want to be able to groom pastures, dig fence posts, move manure piles, etc.

Like I said, it is really more tractor than I was looking for, but the price is within the budget. I can see circumstances when a smaller tractor might be better, but I also like the idea of being able to pull a big batwing mower and taking care of the pastures in an afternoon. It is actually sitting on a dealer lot and they do have a good reputation for service, but whether or not they can get parts in a timely fashion is not always their problem.
