If you are comfortable with the price buy it and don't look back. That is what I did a week ago. Thought I bought a Massey 30, but it turned out to be a late 101JR I am still happy with purchase

Do you know the year? There should be a tin oval plate on the left side of the tractor. If it's there, post the serial number here and someone will ID the year for you. The 101 Juniors changed their tinwork (and a few other things) in about '43 or so (halfway through it's production run). The early ones had a single sidepanel for the engine (with a simple curve) while the later ones had a more complex arched curve that tied into another cover panel at the rear under the tank cover. Also, the early ones had the air cleaner in front of the radiator. The grilles were different too. Let us know how the rear rubber is as well.

Hello Walter .... did you email me some time back, seem to remember your name and I can't remember whether or not I responded. You live in the maritimes in Canada right? Maybe I'm confused but I seem to remember something. I've removed the email hide from my name link so maybe we can hook up again, I have one remaining early 101 Junior, had another one too but sold it last spring.

HP depends on what year it is.. they had 3 different size engines throughout their production period. Same block, but different bore sizes.. Also price dictated by area, and whether it has hydraulics.. Wfe., etc.
