Rear filled tire..calcium chloride filled..sprung a leak..schrader valve went bad. Is there anything special about that schrader valve or can I use any scrader valve that I have? Must it be specifically for filled tires?

Maybe a good time to get rid of the problem. What are the particulars of the application. More often than not the tractor is better off without calcuim chloride ballast.

they are an air-water valve. they are all the same unless you have the old style which is no longer available

Thanks..let me clarify a bit.. the internal guts of the valve went bad. I do have a bunch of inside valves for auto tires.. will they fit? I haven't as yet tried to remove the insides from the tractor tire. Like to have the right insides on hand before I do.

yes they are the same but maybe not the quality. and many times there is [pices of the brken one left inside. Not much fun while you are getting a bath in calcium. Better go uptown and buy a new core assembly.

Absolutely outstanding Nebraska!...just the info I was looking for. Mucho appreciated. Wife found a small puddle of what look like water near the rear tire of the JD...in the barn...told her to taste it..didn't think it was from the valve..She did..she ain't talking to me. ]

Real funny watching her run around trying to figure out how to spit. Wimmen don't spit well.

Well you're a better man than I am Cowman. I've tasted the calcium chloride, not enough guts to try the dog pee though. What's it taste like? Just wondering.

Joe
